It’s the Holiday’s and that means engagement season is here! This is such a popular time for new couples to propose and begin planning their special day. If you’re one of the lucky guys or gals then congratulations and get ready for some fun!
This engagement session is unique because it was my very first session I’ve done at sunrise, as opposed to the typical sunset time of day that we shoot.
Meet Christina and Jonathan! They are getting married this year at the STRAZ Center for the Performing Arts and I literally cannot wait! Their engagement session took place on a brisk December morning at 6:45am, before the sun was even up! I was shocked when I showed up and they were ready to go, smiling and dressed so nice it looked like they had been up since 4am to get ready! We took their photos at the Ballast Point Pier in Tampa just off Bay Shore Blvd. We had the place to ourselves except for a few early bird fisherman so it was great!
We had an awesome time together and I have to say this sunrise shooting thing was pretty fun and I’d do it again. One of my favorite photos was the very last one we took. Christina and Jonathan are so fun and easy to capture images of them smiling and laughing. However I asked them to just be themselves and try not to smile real big and to give me a calm look. See for yourself as to why it is my absolute favorite of them.
