How do you envision your wedding? Does a large traditional wedding feel inauthentic to you or does the idea of going to the courthouse feel anticlimactic? Save the money, skip the guest list and say “I do” with your own personal adventure. Take a hike! You can always have a reception to celebrate with your friends and family when you return home!

Eloping or having an intimate ceremony can be the ultimate destination wedding. You can have the perfect adventure with truly epic imagery to remember it forever! With flexibility comes creativity. Imagine standing in front of the Rockies, on a cliff in Hawaii, on a beach in St. Maarten or a distillery in Kentucky! This moment can happen anywhere. Maybe it’s on a sail boat or one of those enchanting tree houses where a private chef makes you dinner! How about an overlook within your favorite national park!! In a nutshell, save on folding chair rentals and banquet hall fees and splurge on an exotic sunset with a killer photographer to capture it all.

Say your vows however you want without fear of what family and guests will think. You shouldn’t have to alter your truest words to your partner because you’re worried about the opinion of others. Imagine saying your vows on a ski lift as you summit a mountain, while kayaking in a crystal clear spring or behind a waterfall after a day hike. Your vows are yours alone. Say exactly what you feel.

Elopements don’t have to be just the two of you. Maybe you include your parents, siblings, best friend who also happens to be ordained… or.. yes, your PUPS! Spend your money on what is MOST important to you. You can still have a badass bouquet, a killer dress and hair & makeup done so you feel beautiful. Hire that private chef I mentioned earlier to cook you an epic meal or spend extra $$ on your dream photographer. This can be an adventure elopement full of unbelievable moments captured with unbelievable photography in crazy locations that, frankly, just aren’t possible when you have a huge guest list and time constraints to consider.

I travel often for weddings and engagement sessions. Not only do I enjoy traveling and exploring but I find these experiences really help create a friendship with many of the couples I photograph. And that may be my favorite part of the process. This is your wedding we are talking about. Make your decisions INTENTIONALLY and don’t feel like your wedding has to fit a mold.

Are you ready to elope? Send me an email and let’s connect. And yes, I do count as a witness for the marriage license. 😉

As of the time of this post we are all navigating the COVID-19 virus and the logistics of a large social gathering are near impossible.  I’m here to help!  I will be donating 5% of all profits from couples who elope to my local economy or a donation of your choice.  We are all in this together and helping out our local small business and those families who critically impacted is SO vital to our recovery!
